Q. Why is there one version of 100 Monsters that is written by you, and another version of the same story that is written by you and Virginia Castleman?

A. When I showed the story that I wrote to Virginia Castleman, she suggested some changes. I liked both versions, so we decided to include both of them. Would you like to have an interesting discussion? Ask your children or students, “Which do you like better, and why?” Please write to us at info@monstersandmore.com, and let us know their answer.

Q. Why do you have different people reading the same story?

A. Discussion. Children enjoy talking about the different versions of the stories. They like to say which reader they liked best. They talk about the stories more than they would if they heard them once. If you give a child stories on a regular cassette tape, they may listen to them five or six times. Children will often listen to these stories over a hundred times, and they’ll discuss them with their friends and parents. Want proof? Ask your child which story they liked best. Then, ask them which reader they liked best and why. You’re in for an interesting discussion.
